Hi, I’m Ivy! I am a Boston-based lighting designer originally from Atlanta. I have just graduated from Boston University with my BFA in Lighting Design. Art has always been a creative outlet for me in which I have found a great passion and desire to bring my ideas to life. Throughout my time in the academic world, I have found a special love for theatre, dance, and opera for their storytelling and embodyment of energy on stage.

I believe that lighting is the binding force that allows us to make sense of the worlds that we bring to life on stage. I strive to create environments for the story to live in that can live and breathe alongside characters and their arcs. When working on the production side of the process, this mentality carries over as I work to allow the tech to support these same elements that a designer will desire.

In my spare time, I enjoy photography, crochet, and birdwatching!
